I just tried setting up the ARIA Player with a manual sound set (in Sibelius 6.2.0), and yes, altered Controls page settings, including EQ under EQUALIZATION, are retained if the Playback Configuration is saved. Upon reopening the Controls Window, I see that the EQUALIZATION on/off button is now turned off and the EQ settings returned to their default positions.Īs Fraser mentioned, currently the only way to save ARIA EQ changes is to create an. If I go into the ARIA interface, highlight the designated Steinway Piano channel, click on "Controls" to the right, switch on EQUALIZER, change settings, go to Sibelius Playback Devices dialog, save the Playback configuration, the ARIA Player Controls window disappears. Must chime in here Daniel, as I have had the same problem Fraser has experienced with the GPO 4 ARIA Player not saving EQ settings. Posted by Daniel Spreadbury - 08 May 10:20PM First: Sibelius 6 First & GPO4 - Losing GPO4 EQ settings when closing score Sorry this is a bit long winded, but the more you know in these cases, from experience, the better. It's just sometimes I can go around the houses with my approach & miss the obvious. Now, If you're all doing this, that's fine - at least I know. For ease of use I keep a folder for each score with the Sib file & fxp file within. ![]() The only way I can get around this is to save a specific 'fxp' file for each individual score with the adjusted EQ for each instrument - which then requires loading up after opening each score. I've tried saving adjusted GPO settings in play>playback devices>show(GPO device - edit settings>Save but this doesn't work. However, when saving the score whilst closing down - the next time I open the same score - all the GPO settings are back to default with no EQ - All the instruments are there etc. As far as I can see, Sib First doesn't give me any EQ capabilities for either one staff instrument or the whole score - so I have to adjust the GPO Control panel. The problem lies with EQ-ing the individual GPO instruments, let's say for example to make the steinway piano sound a bit brighter by adding a little top end. When I switch between scores, Sib remembers & recalls all of these. Sib's mixer regularly saves the settings including reverb, mix levels, & GPO instruments intended for each staff absolutely fine. I have many compositions which I switch between frequently & this is what I've encountered: ![]() As above, using Sib First & GPO4 having installed the 30 day free download of Sib & then buying the hard program copy from Avid & simply entering the serial number to keep the initial download alive. ![]()
